Wicked Queer: The 33rd Annual Boston LGBT Film Festival
3/30 – 4/9 @ Various Locations
http://www.WickedQueer.org
The longest running LGBT media event in New England is back for its 33rd year of celebrating diversity in film and the work of queer artists. The festival will be held at a number of Boston area locations, including the Somerville Theater, the Brattle Theater, and the MFA. It features films from around the globe from a variety of creators, including showcases dedicated to student work, first-timers, female directors, and trans artists. The Opening Night feature is 2017’s Signature Move (dir. Jennifer Reeder) and will be held at the Institute of Contemporary Art. I’m personally looking forward to “Current Mood: Youth,” a series of shorts focusing on the lives of modern LGBT youth. This is an impeccably curated festival where you are sure to find a new favorite LGBT work of art. Find more information at WickedQueer.org.
