WORTHY CAUSE: Please sign this petition to Save Live Music In Allston’s Ringer Park

As we here @ Boston Hassle/Boston Compass approach opening our own venue we’ll be getting more politically involved in the goings on in the city (cities) as pertains to the perception of art and music, legality of all ages events and spaces, and in general to search for ways to make Boston a more wonderful place for artists to create in and for audiences to experience in.

A short while ago we here @ Boston Hassle applied to the Boston Parks Department to put on a small one day outdoor daytime show in Ringer Park in Allston, which for years now has been the site of the very cool DIY FEST diy music and culture celebration.

Long story short, our application was DENIED (I was left a message saying essentially, “We won’t be permitting your event because of all the music.”), and then DIY FEST’s application was DENIED.
There is no good reason why these DENIALS have occurred, so BOSTON HASSLE has banded together with DIY FEST and a non-profit
group who helps to maintain Ringer Park to take a stand; a stand that will not only help our events take place without unnecessary static
but will hopefully serve as a precedent for these kind of events becoming easier to put on in parks and similar spaces all around the city.

We ask you kindly to sign this online petition below, it will take about 3 minutes, so that we together can try to make Boston a better place to live and a more welcoming place for arts and music. Please pass the petition around, and PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL in your comments.
