Saturday night has some wintry, pretty folk and country sounds for those who seek it out. BONG WISH, led by Mariam of garage goons Fat Creeps, is a bedroom pop project that has brevity and levity that reminds one of quieter twee. Loose and heavy guitar-drums duo SARALEE deliver minimal, moving tunes with a rolling tempo and the feel of a more brooding Bratmobile and the Raincoats. GOAT OF ARMS are a accordion and drum cumbia duo, ACLU BENEFIT a poetic and personal singer-songwriter, and both will rock you in myriad ways. Last but not least, WILLY MASON is a new local supergroup including Jesse Gallagher and Noah Bond, so you know it’ll be smooth and psychedelic.
It’s shaping up to be a good night even with the wind whipping at your face.
