Unlike your typically cringle-worthy work party, or resentment-filled family gathering, tonight’s TREAT YO SELF event at GREAT SCOTT has all the right ingredients to make sure you actually have FUN!
Local art lovers EYE DESIGN host this monthly night with diverse array of sights, sounds and eats to please all your sense. Check out colorful visual art with a touch of the macabre from Michelle Dugan, Zombie Romance and Tyeklar Zoárd (who made the Hassle’s fantastic New England Fest flyer this year). Musical performances from KID MOUNTAIN, ETERNAL SUMMERS, BENT SHAPES and GHOST MODERN keep those feel good vibes flowing with various shades of groove based dreamer pop, from the exuberant to the melancholic to the lackadaisical and back again. Mix in some belly laughs from local comedians (a first for Treat Yo Self), featuring Jesse R. Miles, Zack Norton, Nonye and Chris Post. Of course they’ll be plenty of free holiday-themed treats to stuff your face with. Aaaand they’ll be a toy drive for the less fortunate kiddies in our community, so bring a toy for a tot or teenager, and enjoy this multi-sensory extravaganza.
