If you’re into forward leaning, intelligent dance music with an experimental edge, you should know by now about JASS, a hard working Cambridge collective dedicated to lifting the scene above the EDM mediocrity. TONIGHT they celebrate their 2 years of existence at the Phoenix Landing, and they could’nt do it in a more fitting way.
Legendary Chicago producer TRAXMAN is coming to Boston (perhaps for the first time?) to spin his singular take on juke and ghetto house. This guy is the real deal so perk up your ears to his bubbly, mind-bursting bumper jams. The All Stars of JASS – Time Wharp, Dan in Allston, Atwell Baker, T-Dredz, Fenz and more – will also be on deck, playing back-to-back throughout the night. JASS’ own GRONOS 1 warms up the dancefloor with his dissonant jabs.
This anniversary also marks the end of JASS’ long-running residency at the Phoenix Landing. So come out, celebrate these prodigious track layers, and get moving like you got Mexican jumping beans all in your trousers.
