Time for a short trip to Lowell this weekend as four eclectic bands come together under the umbrella of punk to put on a rockin show at UNCHARTED TONIGHT!! Heading up the night is TRAGWAG aka That Really Awesome Guy With a Guitar – need I say more? Though the name speaks for itself, Tyler Bisson’s self described folk punk combines beautifully constructed acoustic jams with howling lyrics cementing a sound akin to Frank Turner. Supporting acts include Northampton quartet DERIVE. Paul DeGrandpre’s thunderous drums and crashing symbols are the backbone of Derive’s classic punk sound and with all four members contributing vocals the songs jump from steadily stated verses to sharp squeals a la Darby Crash. Worcester’s TRASH BIRDS bring their brand of ferocious hardcore to a mellower lineup. Rounding out the night is local Lowell three piece SPOOKY FUTURE whose groovy jams keep your pulse at a steady pace before the rest of the night’s acts pump up the volume. Get ready to expel some energy and chill with friends.
