Boston rock and roll bros KRILL are heading out on an epic, full US tour with their bubbly indie-soul Brooklyn buds Ava Luna. It’s rare that a couple bands from the North East are ambitious enough to do a tour that actually touches down on the West Coast, even for a couple groups that are as well respected and widely enjoyed as these two. The California connection, coupled with the fact that Krill are solid, chill-pillars and champions of the DIY scene here in Boston, make us all the more excited to announce this jaunt. If SXSW is good for anything it’s getting bands from all over the country away from their respective regions and schoomzing in the hot Texas sun, with the potential to visit the opposite coast from the one they know. I mean, these two might “get discovered” and “blow up” so to speak, but they will definitely make friends from all over, like the rad magnets they are, and leave an impression on anyone who sees them. The impression being that sweet pop rock is alive in well up here in New England. Gotta appreciate that!
