Tonight In Boston…

by

Hey kids!

There’s a couple cool goings on going on tonight if you’re looking to get out and around and check out some cool sounds.
If you’re into ambient/classical sound explorations, Weirdo Records has you covered. This week’s installment of The Series features trumpet master Eric Dahlman along with percussion fiend Ken Lovelet, Michael Knoblach, and Erik Nugent making some noises that are bound to move your mind out beyond the stratosphere.

You also might want to check out Night of the Living Deadhead tonight @ Zuzu, where you’ll be able to see the Boston debut of Western Mass weirdo Bromp Treb (Neel Young from Fat Worm of Error), Cambridge experimental noisemakers Death Shepherd, and the Chris Strunk/Brendan Murray electronic noise duo Taps.

Just in case you’re still on the fence, here’s some videos to whet your appetite:

Here’s Eric Dahlman, Erik Nugent, and Michael Knoblach from tonight’s show @ Weirdo Records performing together.

Here’s Bromp Treb from the Zuzu show performing a couple years ago.

…and here’s Taps performing in Boston last year.

So yeah… if you can’t find something to do tonight, you’re not looking hard enough!
