Birthed from the implosion of Spacemen 3, these titans of spacerock have been churning out their signature stacked tunes for almost 20 years – but don’t let worry you, because their newest album Sweet Heart Sweet Light is full of jangly licks, symphonic swells, and melodic loops that are about as far from “stale” as anything could be. Opening for them is Guy Blakeslee, guitarist and godhead of The Entrance Band, whose solo pieces balance winding acoustic guitar escapades with reverse-filtered, delightfully disorienting electronic soundscapes.
