The Washington Street Arts Center is gonna be shaking tonight with far out experimental electronics. Sound artist Shawn Greenlee stitches together massive tapestries of noise from electronic detritus, off-kilter fleeting rhythms, and gritty samples corrupted by distortion. Providence’s Caroline Park takes a more melodic approach; constellations of shimmering synth notes flow and develop into mellow drones. Creaking teeter-totters, flushing toilets, and beckoning whistles comprise the creeping sample soundscapes of JaJuNo Trio (Whitehaus Family Records). And Arkm Foam‘s multisensory immersion will drown you in scratching tape and dazzling neon. Get out to Washington Street in Somerville and treat your ears to these raw electronic sweets!
