Spring is here, so Damaged City Fest and New York’s Alright are just around the corner, featuring spatterings of Boston punk and hardcore bands (Leather Daddy, Contingent, 2×4, Sadist, Aspects Of War, No Tolerance) playing with some of the best current (and reunited) international and national punk and hardcore bands (the Mob, Government Warning, Career Suicide, Herätys, United Mutation, Warhead, Part1, Isterismo, Kromosom, etc.). All these fests means lots of touring, so be sure to check listings of upcoming local gigs not to be missed! Aspects of War and Kromosom will be embarking on some east coast gigs together, bringing along handmade Kromosom lapel pins from Boston’s own ckmetalsmith (ckmetalsmith.org). Human Bodies will be spreading their blend of black metal/punk along selected dates later this month. Sadist will have their Ep release gig at the Middle East, opening for UK peace punk legends the Mob. Meatbag is finishing up recording for a forthcoming flexi co-released with Total Fucker Records. The much-anticipated Black Market will be returning at the end of the month. There’s a lot going on this month!
