Boston’s own Nice Guys infect you with their lust for booze and weed through their fast ‘n’ loud garage punk. Aggressive surfy guitar riffs matched with indiscernible, energetic vocals will remind you to kick winter in the face if it steps even one icy foot into the pit. Regain your composure with proud Clevelanders Filmstrip, a three piece rock band whose more refined, classic sound is still forceful and imaginative but with a more friendly, universal appeal. If you’re not satisfied with just slowing down autumn’s quiet takeover, let Beach Toys throw you right back to summer. Although this local band is from our very own Cambridge, their dreamy, feel-good tunes will take you straight to the west coast, cruisin’ with the wind in your hair and the sun on your shoulders. Al Marantz and the Piffs bring their experimental fuzz pop to keep you tapping your toes and humming those sweet melodies all the way home.
