PILE, THE CATTLE WALK, SOMETHING SNEAKY, RYE PINES @ UNCLE TED’S PLACE

by

Allston is shaking tonight with good music – get out to TONIGHT and dig this show full of awesome south-of-the-Mason-Dixon sounds! Pile croons and groans, stacking wonderfully strange lyrics over finger-picked riffs and booming freakouts rife with Southern harmonies; “dripping” is really the perfect description for their sticky, anything-but-ordinary tunes. The steermen of The Cattle Walk will be shredding hard in celebration of their man Teddie’s birthday, so it’s certain their normally mesmerizing mix of chimey single-note guitar lines and snappy drumbeats will be all the more potent. Something Sneaky mesh chunky 90s riffage with searing Southern top-note melodies, and ultra-thick bass and rambling deep drum tones round out the mix. And Rye Pines‘ music slinks down dusty roads, hobbles up to splintered bars, and orders its bourbon straight – jangly acoustic escapades built on foot-stomping licks and curling slides are sure to delight. Ask a punk and get yourself to this killer porch-rocker show!
