Here we go again. Just when you thought you were out the woods, another nasty noise rock show comes barreling down the shoot, slamming right into your already bruised and swollen face. Get over to ROGGIES in Cleveland Circle TONIGHT to catch Drummer Kid Millions and keyboardist/vocalist Bobby Matador, both of Oneida, play together as PEOPLE OF THE NORTH, a gritty, gloomy project that occupies an uncanny space between droney fuzzed out ambiance and angsty, driven minimalism. Austin Sley Julian of Providence metal-clank rippers Sediment Club goes solo as SUNK HEAVEN with some slow and skrunky live-sampled blues crunch. The big boys of Boston noise rock fill out this freak of a show. BUGS & RATS have honed their searing psycho punk down to a very sharp, ear-piercing point, but with all the blunt, overpowering energy of medieval mallet. And GUERILLA TOSS is, well, Guerilla Toss; they’ll reach deep within you with their dark, undying freak funk rhythms, retching out of you what little soul you have left. So bite your lip and clench your fists till they’re red and bleeding – this is a good one. All courtesy of the Boston Hassle and B.O.W. Shows gang.
