If we consider the simple idea that the way we conceptualize music is not in principle different from the way we conceptualize the world, the understanding of body experience can not be dissociated from the understanding of music as a phenomenon multimidia and multisensitive.
With that always in mind OPENSOUND, a monthly concert series dedicated to bringing together artists who delve into the experimental and avant-garde, is back yet again for a show at THIRD LIFE STUDIOS in Somerville. Today featuring four presentations that will challenge you and disturb your comfort zone.

Flirting with sound and movement Joe Burgio leads the ENSEMBLE INEDIT, a ever-changing group of improvisers.Their work is a collective realization of structured score materials: graphic, relational, conceptual, imperative and emergent. Their process strives to integrate the spontaneity of improvisation with the compositional integrity of set pieces.

CLOUD LUDUM led by Anastasiya Dumma and Olga Karaseva performs in a style that could be defined as “third stream” – a blend of contemporary classical music with jazz and free improvisation.

Mitch Ahern a mutimidia artist (print maker, writer and fiber performance artist) will perform presenting his electro-acustic music instruments inventions.

Junko Fujiwara & Steve Lantner the Duo brings a fusion of two great musicians Fujiwara (cello) and Lantner (piano) improvising and experimenting in order to transcend their instruments.

The most experimental concert series in the Boston Area worked hard to assemble this dream lineup. Be there, seriously, the left side of your brain will thank you for that!
