Friends of Xerox printers, social agitation and DIY peer-to-peer distribution, unite! The zine, that humble form of art and activism that helped foster the first US DIY music community, is alive and well in New England. Come to New England Zine Fest and enjoy an afternoon filled with zines and artists from around the region, listen to presentations with Papercut Zine Library, Trifecta Editions, artists Brian Connolly of Nothing Mattress and others, and participate in workshops including ‘How to make your own Zine!’ Were proud to bring so many talented (and often unsung) artists to the fore! See what its about and maybe youll catch the bug and contribute to next years fest (we arn’t stopping with just one)!
And don’t forget – after the daytime festivities end, you can stuff your ears with consiousness-lifting pop at the New England Zine Fest Afterpartty, with Pretty and Nice (farewell show), Ava Luna (NYC), Krill and Infinity Girl, presented by Allston Pudding and yours truly. A multisensor treat!
