Fielded (Captcha Records) comes from that state that looks like a pointing finger, so it’s apt that their music points to a ton of influences: 80s pop synth and dance beats collide with jazzy Fender Rhodes tones, with smooth Stevie Nicks-esque vocals and fiercely suspended drumbeats. The lo-fi strum-and-hum of Bong Wish will keep you coming back for those mesmerizing washed out riffs. And Tsons of Tsunami are sure to blow your trunks off with their bluesy trashy spacesurf licks dripping in Middle-Eastern guitar and thick-n-boomy bass.
