Close your eyes and picture Jordon Lee, the soft spoken sweetheart who makes masterful, intimate and soaring electronic compositions under the name Mutual Benefit. Does he wear a coat of many colors? Is this music also made of many colors? If you unteased its threads, would each be bright, singular, looped, soft, infinite, and glowing? Wouldn’t you like to find out? You have that chance tonight, when he plays from his fantastic new release, Love’s Crushing Diamond. With songs molded and honed through the supportive (and now defunct) Dreamhaus show-space in lower Allston, Lee’s music is quiet, operatic, and experienced up close, like a city square watched through a rain-blurred window. He’s joined by Frankie Cosmos, the best, frankest friend you always wanted to sing you to sleep, and Krill, who buoy their manic nostalgia with wit, rock guitar, and Christopher Wool references. All happening TONIGHT at Great Scott.
