Denizens of the Pioneer Valley take note, tonight the Flywheel will be awash in the presence of Michael Hurley, crafter of lovely and fine folk tunes since before most of ya’ll were born. Hurley takes bits of blues and Appalachia, fastening them together with a pure storytelling voice to make some truly genuine sounds- often wrapped in a blanket of peaceful melancholy. He’s heralded in by the Valley’s own Frozen Corn, a mystic sounding bluegrass outfit whose layered guitar-banjo instrumentals make way for soulful croons. Make sure to catch these two while you can, who knows then you’re next chance will be!
