LISTEN TO: NEEDY VISIONS

by

If you’re into the Boston rock scene at all, you should already know local mainstays and all around good-timers the Needy Visions. While it seems like these days everyone and their mother is experimenting in every possible musical direction (and dont get me wrong, we’re all for that) the Needy Visions hold it down in the middle of it all, bridging the gap with those infectiously funky and lighthearted pop-rock jamz that everyone can get into. Fronted by the dynamic duo of full-time hasslers Sam Potrykus (of Christians and Lions) and Dan Shea and supported by a slightly subdued version of those scuzz-wonkers Guerilla Toss, the band reliably brings the ruckus at every occasion with poppin bass grooves, fuzzy guitar licks and the melodic musings of that bizarre bard, inviting one and all to drop all pretentions and have a good time. This is fun, irreverent music in its purest form. After a short hiatus, the Needy Visions will be playing tomorrow night at TT’s in Cambridge for Sippy Cup Everything. Expect many more Boston shows in the future as the weather warms. Rumor has it there may be some new recordings in gestation for release later this year – but those are just rumors… for now.
Until we get some more definite info, you’ll have to settle for streaming the tracks below. I bet it’ll make the perfect musical accompaniment for taking in today’s carefree warmth.
