Jeff and Jane Hudson got their start in the burgeoning punk scene of the late 70’s in Boston with the seminal band The Rentals (not the Weezer one), and released a single in 1977 called “Gertrude Stein”

In 1980, they relocated to NYC and recorded 2 singles and the LP “Flesh”. A stunning mix of icy vocals and robotic synth, Jeff and Jane were unwittingly setting the stage for an entire generation of musicians, and original copies of their records go for super moolah on ebay. But don’t be discouraged! Captured Tracks has just released a super-dooper edition! 

Though they recorded all their records in NY, they soon relocated to Boston and have been here ever since.
