Kal Marks specialize in the swirly, angst-charged grime-rock that’s been big in Boston as of late. Heavy riffs and throaty, pleading vocals abound, all topped in a delicious layer of distortion. Warped Forest will bring the dreamy psych-folk vibes via strings and hypnotic, looped vocals. Cape Cod duo Nashoba dabble in bubbly, jangly instrumentals that will make you move, whether you like it or not. Rounding it out is Providence’s Littlefoot, whose sleepy, fifties-influenced beach rock will have you swooning.
