Jason Lescaleet’s ‘Trophy Tape,’ Neil Young Cloaca (Bomp Treb) @ Hampshire College

by

Veteran electro-acoustic experimenteur JASON LESCALEET has affinity for the processed sounds of reel-to-reel tapes and conjuring singular sounds from outmoded technology. TONIGHT, Lescaleet is venturing into the visual realm with TROPHY TAPE, a series of videos to compliment his critically acclaimed ‘Songs About Nothing.’ For each track on the album, Lescalleet commissioned friends and visual artists who understood his work to represent his microtonal music. Lescalleet will be touring with this video collection, starting with the film debut tonight at the Bill Brad screening room at Hampshire College, Amherst. Musician Neil Young Cloaca, known for his work at Bomp Treb and as part of burnout psych outfit Fat Worm of Error, will be warming up the crowd with some strange sounds of his own.
