Rise and shine, dudes! Brush your teeth, throw on something cleanish and scoot over to the Middle East today for the second annual Boston Fuzzstival. Put together by Illegally Blind maestro Jason Trefts, the event is meant to celebrate local surf, garage, psych and fuzzzzzzz by bringing together a delightful medley of homegrown acts, both seasoned and green.
Fuzztival begins at 2 p.m. upstairs, with acts like Dinoczar, GYMSHORTS, The TeleVibes and CREATUROS taking the stage, then moves downstairs at five p.m. for 28 degrees taurus, The Fagettes, Fat Creeps, Doug Tuttle and more ’til around 1:30 a.m. Genres may differ but all slated acts are sure to melt your face and make you happy to be from Boston…kehd. As if the epic tunes and company weren’t enough to get you over to Central Square today, $1 PIZZA slices will be slung into your psyched out mouth holes by none other than Emma’s while trippy, melty, brain jumbling visuals will be provided by Video Joe Turner , The Lysergic Factory Lightshow and Wax House A/V.
Tickets are available in the form of an all day pass (recommended) for $20, a single upstairs ticket for $10 and a downstairs one for $15. Bring some extra cash for the official cat t-shirts designed by Joe Magnifico and printed by Anti Designs. There are only 90 so get there early to snag one.
