This pair of Boston-based bands – IAN and LITTLEFOOT – have a lot in common. Besides their regional allegiance, both acts are led by strong-willed, righteous female singer-guitarists, both have new tapes on BUFU Records, and both rock something fierce. But they also occupy polar opposite moods. While Littlefoot’s sound harkens back to an imagined, simpler time of expansive melancholy skies and americana twang, IAN bite and tear at your heartstrings with a sharp sense of melody, twisted into a tense knot of angst and the will to overcome. These two sad girls and their bands are traveling all the way out to Nashville, so catch ’em while you can!
