HUM Journal is a brand new print/digital publication whose sole goal is to gather up the written and visual substance of artists in and from the Boston area, roll it into a big ball, and hurl it into the sky so that it may rain down up you. Within the journal’s pages, gnarly pieces of creative material from our city’s prettiest minds are beautifully arranged and syndicated across a platform that covers both digital and physical realms. The first issue of HUM officially drops tonight with a wild downtown release party that you’re cordially invited to. In the spirits of collaboration and fun, tonight’s getdown will include mood-setting and record-spinning by local dudeskis DJ HOT COMPANY and performances by Tredici Bacci (Guerrilla Toss bassguy Simon Hanes’ franco-italiano/western spaghettism-inspired lounge superensemble) and our ethereal homeboy Alec Watson. Local ambassador of the cool Ronnie Nordac will also be on hand to light up the night and deliver some sweet prizes you can win via raffle. You know you want them. You want them all. Tonight’s event is BYOB.
