HONK! The boisterous CAPS LOCK onomatopoeia title for this annual music festival is as straightforward as possible. If you plan on being near Davis or Harvard Square this holiday weekend, then brace yourself for an onslaught of honking, drumming, dancing, shouting, and colorful costuming, all in the name of public activism.

Over the course of the weekend, 20+ street marching bands from across the country, and even the globe, will help transform Davis and Harvard Square into the most boisterous public party in the nation. Forgoing the tight choreography and uniformity of traditional marching bands, these groups will look to emphasize individuality and improvisation as they flood the streets and parks of Camberville with their cheerful cacophony.

The festivities will reign over Davis Square and the surrounding area on Friday and Saturday, and then the madness will march on down Mass Ave and into Harvard Square on Sunday. A more detailed schedule of the events can be found here.
