Looking to bridge the gap between human and machine? Tonight at the Goethe Institut, Berlin’s Heatsick brings his brand of minimal hypnotic Casio-fueled inverted house music to any nerds itching to gyrate all night. Since 2011’s excellent lo-fi Intersex, Steve Warwick has moved on to more lush and layered soundscapes, and his entrancing live show is augmented by similarly mesmerizing visuals. He’s joined by Rhode Island’s Container, who offers more aggressive/Gristle’d-out exercises in repetition and volume. JP’s Dinners works in an ambient and textural realm, incorporating various light, sound, and touch sensors to explore more nuanced sonic expression. All brought to you by the lovely folk at Non-Event. There’s a whole lot to take in. Nerd out, get down.
