– publishes the Boston Compass newspaper every month, a newspaper that promotes independent producers of music and art and their events, and that serves as a medium for numerous forms of artistic and creative expression by residents of the greater Boston area, New England, and well beyond
– produces the Boston Hassle website everyday, a website that promotes independent producers of music and art and their events, and serves as a free form medium for numerous forms of artistic and creative expression by residents of the greater Boston area, New England, and well beyond
– organizes and curates 150+ music & art events every year
– organizes the Black Market independent art/maker market every two months all year long
– organizes and curates the annual Boston Hassle 24 Hour Telethon @Somerville Community Access Television
– paid out $50,000+ to musician and artists last year through our programming
– plans to start moving forward on opening our own all ages venue space and art market in early 2017, housing our events, and many many other community art and music events, and creative ideas, born of the greater Boston area
– is completely volunteer!!!! over 200 of us work on running these various projects every single day, week, and month! despite everything we do no one in the org gets paid anything for their awesome efforts
