TONIGHT is a night as fine as any to catch a couple of highly underrated touring acts and some local faves rip it up at the Middle East Downstairs in Central Square. Headlining this evening’s show is Hanni El Khatib, San Francisco’s intrepid rockabilly garage-blues son and purveyor of some seriously catchy hooks . Bass Drum of Death will be there too– you should really check these guys out if you’re into fast-paced lo-fi rock a la the Bay area scene (Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees), although BDOD hails from the great state of Mississippi! Oh yeah, and New Highway Hymnal and Future Spa will be repping the vast and fuzztastic musical plain of Bostonland.
