Like it or not, Worcester gets to be the center of ‘Central MA’, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Take tonight for instance, at a certain music-friendly house there, Fools converge from the four directions to celebrate April foolishness in fine style. From South, be on time (9pm) please as poet and activist GISELI VASCONCELOS performs ‘Poetry is Risk’: erotic dialogues, tropical behavior & concrete poetry. From West, we have another recent transplant to Worcester making his debut in GRANNY FROST as they fire up the wayback machine and set it to mid-90’s, alterna-pop heaven. From East, JP-darlings CULT & LEPER, just back from their ‘Confess to Success’ motivational tour, will be sharing their pop-wisdom with Worcesterers. And lastly, from the Great North we’ll have GREAT VALLEY (faves of the author) to cap a madcap evening of musical merriment with tales of love and lizards in the land of Camelot. What better way to enjoy April Fools Day than with smiles and song. Sometimes it’s nice to be in the center of it all.
