Sometimes sad things happen to good people. At times like these, its up to friends to show love and support for one their own, to butress them with heart-warming emotions against the irrational tyranny of a cold, unfeeling universe. Such is the case with Chris Strunk (Vile Bodies, TAPS, Ride the Snake Records) an irreplaceable component of Boston’s music community who has recently struggled with life’s viccisitudes. But here tragedy is overshadowed by the power of love and music, as friends gather to shower Strunk (and everybody) in beautiful noise. Animal Hospital, Donna Parker + Mark William Pearson, Heathen Shame, Deleuzer (Morgan Evans Weiler, Michael Rosenstein, Jesse Collins, Jonathan Lizcano, & Howard Martin) and Vic Rawlings all share their sonic wares, ranging from serene instrumental compositions to bombastic electrified improvisations. So come show support for this awesome dude, and enjoy some unusual sounds while your at it. Going down at the Washington Street Arts Center in Somerville.
