Non-Event is hooking it up at Café Fixe in Brookline tonight, giving you a chance to immerse yourself in some transcendent psychedelic soundscapes. Kevin Micka, the man behind Animal Hospital, will be teaming up with frequent co-conspirator Mark Pearson to concoct a wholly immersive sound world that’s likely to pry your mind from its normal moorings and take it someplace you realize it should have been all along. If their work together in projects like Neptune and Micka’s Animal Hospital Ensemble provides any preview of tonight’s offering from these two, it’s going to be one spacey, syncopated head trip.
