Come on down to the Church tonight to catch underground rock’n’roll heros The Fleshtones. The Fleshtones have had a long career as cult garage mainstays, forming in New York in the 70’s and finding success in the new wave and garage revival scenes of the 80’s with their special brand of “Super Rock”. Mixing garage, soul, rockabilly and blues, along with a legendary live show, this is not a gig to be missed. Supporting them is local garage pop fuzz crew Sheperdess armed with catchy tunes and a distorted twin guitar punch (New LP out on TinyRadar Records). Opening the show is an old school rock supergroup of sorts called the Split Squad. The band features members of The Fleshtones, Blondie, REM, and the Plimsouls. This should be a show to remember so if you’re looking for a killer rock with some great throwback garage veterans, the Church is the spot to be.
