Two of the sassiest, quirkiest, and all-around grooviest cabaret punk acts are teaming up tonight for a battle royale at Brighton Music Hall. Led by the infamous Jack Terricloth, WORLD /INFERNO mashes up some powerful punk rock with wailing jazz horns, frenetic klezmer jigs, lavish Viennese waltzes, Peter Lorre kitsch, and just about anything else they can get their hands on – the result is mind-boggling, and yet, always sincere. Walter Sickert and his crew appear to have mastered every instrument known to man – they jam and rattle and pluck each and every one, and wrap it all up in Sickert’s raspy lyrics: it’s the music of ferocious waves and sad French puddles. Insanely talented, brash and proud – these bands are the complete package, so make sure to get yourself out to this monster show!
