Destroyer‘s Dan Bejar creates saccharine ’80s MOR-style songs and sounds so deceptively smooth you don’t even feel the sting of their venom until its too late and they’ve completely taken over your being. That’s probably why last year’s Kaputt, the Vancouver band’s 9th full-length, has been rightfully praised to the high heavens.
