The metro Boston dance scene travels from Central Square to Allston tonight for the Boston date of the Giraffage and Mister Lies’ North American tour at Great Scott. Presented by show curator cum record labelJASS, the Boston date is sure to be an altogether unpredictable club night. Prepare to have a waking dream about the swaying synths of Mister Lies, with walking images of Giraffage’s (Charlie Yin’s) artfully produced samples. Newcomer MJT III (Michael John Thomas III) is a soulful addition to the dream’s chilled-out soundtrack, while resident DJs hold down the avant-garde, experimental sets that have come to define JASS events. So come out to Rat City and escape the traditional hard-hitting club bangers of Central Square.
