Of course you are, so get yerself over to O’Brien’s in Allston for this fundraiser show for the upcoming FMLY Fest Boston. FMLY is a decentralized national network of nice folk who like to share knowledge, support each other, and celebrate life through arts and crafts. They also organize DIY gatherings throughout the country, and there’s one currently fomenting in Boston for early July. To help fund this expansive 3-day multimedia extravaganza, they’ve brought together a diverse array of local musical talent to dazzle and amaze for ya’ll TONIGHT. DESIGNER (BUFU Recs) dabbles in schizo noise rock rhythms that’ll have you bouncing off the walls like a madman in no time. CULT & LEPER are bringing back the 70’s prog pride with a wry smile and plenty of class. RONNIE NORDAC may seem shy and goofy, but his surfy sweet guitar riffs will make you sway in child-like delight. And let us not forget THE DIRTY DIRGES, whose pan-alley antics can get the most intransient wallflower to dance along to their exuberant southern-inspired folk blues. Local showcases like this don’t come around every day – so don’t be a dummy, dance the night away.
