GO TO: TONIGHT (6/16) KYLESA, BLOOD CEREMONY, WHITE HILLS, LAZER/WULF, VYGR

by

If monster riffs and Orange amp stacks sound like your ideal Sunday night, come on over to the Middle East Downstairs in Central Square for a killer five band show. Georgian sludgy riff warriors Kylesa (Season of Mist) headline the gig with their own brand of doomed out heaviness and percussive bludgeoning. Blood Ceremony (Metal Blade) come down from Toronto to join the bill with their 70’s prog influenced brand of sludge—think Jethro Tull meets Electric Wizard—as well as New Yorkers White Hills (Thrill Jockey) with their super psychedelic heaviness and crushing drugged out explorations. Experimental metal crew Lazer/Wulf will take you on a journey with their epic lengthy compositions full of tripped out jamming and finally intergalactic doom machine VYGR moves planets with their detuned heaviness. If tonight feels like the night to take your mind on a doomy trip through time and space, the Middle East is the spot to be.
