It’s Thursday, you’re thirsty, and O’Brien’s is throwing a groovy show – do the math, ya dweeb! Renaissance man Al Polk will be whistlin’ and strummin’ the good stuff – such lines as “Billy Crystal, who took our sins away” are sure to please. All Eyes Are On Me Now take cheery organ and crisp drumrolls, add in a splash of dreamy gypsy riffs, and roll it all together to create a unique take on baroque pop with hints of psych, funk, and rocksteady. Meanwhile, everybody’s favorite 60s crooners The Fagettes (on Stimulation Addict) will pick up the tambourine and get you drooling over that delicious 12-string jangle. Eerie rockers Old Hospitals and lazer-pop magnates The I Want You will round out the show.
