Head over to Harvard Square’s newish spot The Sinclair for a night of some good ole American music. Bringing it all back home is Kurt Vile with his latest live incarnation The Violators. Kurt Vile definitely knows his roots and you can hear bits and pieces of Americana in his lines. It ain’t hard To mellow out and shake about with these tunes from the heartland. He will be joined by friend Angel Olsen, whose name is fitting cause she truly has the voice of an angel. She sings quietly moving songs with a haunting vibrato. Get there early because you’ll want to catch Steve Gunn (Magik Markers), strumming along with his solo guitar excursions à la the american primitivism of John Fahey or Ben Chasny. Truly a feast of warm heartland abundance to start your weekend off right.
