On this night, get yo “fix” (you’ll see why that’s a pun in a second) of electric improv soundscapes at Cafe Fixe (There it is!) as NON-EVENT, purveyors and promoters of all things experimental, abstract, and noisy, present the digital synth sounds of DINNERS. A project started by local JP musician Jimmy Hughes, Dinners is upbeat, 8-bit, multi-sensory computer world experience, as his act uses, “different sensors and circuits – light, sound, touch – that allow for more expressive (and sometimes unpredictable) sonic results from the synthesizer.” Although it is a fairly new project, DINNERS is a rising star in the Boston scene, having performed at local festivals such as Raw Meet 3, and as an artist on the Whitehaus Family Records label. With a passion for quirky sounds and bumpin’ beats, DINNERS will be creating the chillest of auras across the Cafe Room tonight; the perfect way for you and yours to unwind from your day
