GO TO: TONIGHT (5/12) KRILL, SARALEE, HOT TUB PANORAMA, DUE DILIGENCE @BUTCHERSHOPPE

by

Oh boy oh boy we’ve been waiting for this hot mama of a show so long now, its a wonder our ears haven’t fallen off in anxious anticipation of hearing so many sweet sounds at once. Local up-and-comers KRILL are coming out to the Butchershoppe in Allston this evening to celebrate the physical release of their debut full length, Alam No Hris. This previously bandcamp-only album has been on HEAVY rotation ’round these parts, earning our attention with an impressive collection of sweet soulful alt rock tunes brimming with distinct off-kilter catchy hooks, tumultuous drums and smart, endearing lyrics that grip your heart and don’t let go. This is feel good music just in time for the reemergence of that late spring warmth.
But lets not forget about the other acts, all stellar, coming out to compliment these lovely fellows. SARALEE need no introduction, but lets just say this guitar-drum duo will transport you to a warm dream world of fuzzy lo-fi croons, crashing symbals and smothered, earnest drum grooves. In-house heads HOT TUB PANORAMA bring a spacier fair with delay-heavy droned soundscapes full of angst and sweat. And let’s not forget about the folk pop stylings of The DUE DILIGENCE, comin’ up from New York to share some fresh air with some light, sweet diddies that will tickle us till we’re all wearing bittersweet smiles. So come on, what are you waiting for, come out, just do it. This will probably be KRILL’s last show in Boston till the fall, so be there or beware. And don’t forget to bring those dollaz y’all!
