Tonight’s show at Great Scott in Allston is a excellent showcase of Boston’s unique brand of rock. People familiar with the bands listed need no encouragement, but for those curious new listeners out there, now is the perfect time to fall in love with these sweethearts. FAT HISTORY MONTH and PILE are returning from tour together, where they peddled their wares to a national public hungry for that organic, compelling rock that rolls through your stomach like a bittersweet nostalgia for a time when emotions were pure and the term ‘alternative’ still held meaning. Fat History Month have a new record, BAD HISTORY MONTH and its fantastic (read our glowing review HERE) so go get it already. Joining them are like-minded cats FLORIDA=DEATH (CT) and locals GRASS IS GREEN, who’ll stir that steaming pot of bubbling angst and raw, cutting emotion. So come down and see some of Boston’s best.
