Tonight at Middlesex Lounge, show promoter SIPPY CUP EVERYTHING and Boston mag THE PHOENIX have joined forces to bring a pretty real n’ chill night of tunes to ease you back into the week. Freak out rockers ARVID NOE, bring about complete musical meltdown, as they ride the line between thrashing noise, and stunning, soft, self examination, with screaming guitars, tumultous beats and vocals of desperation. Brooklyn’s own AVA LUNA take a page from the Dirty Projectors play book, but inject it with so much soul you can’t help and feel that you are taking in something special. Finally, EMILY REO, with reverby vocals and echoing synth, specializes dreamy, far off landscapes that’ll transport you to high heaven and back in a single set.
