The boys at JASS are at it again. This Cambridge-based future house DJ crew has been leading the Boston dance scene slowly but surely into the 21st century. When they arn’t spinning their mind-melting mixes of hyperdub bass, twisted juke and forward-leaning experimental beats, they like to promote sister crews from around the country. TONIGHT their guests are New York City’s SCI FI & FANTASY, a new collective specializing in that wet sparkling, RnB and funk-infused dance music that tickles your cranium and propels your hips in that forward-swinging, gyrating motion we call ‘grooving.’ Max McFerren, Lamin Fofana and Max Pearl take turns chopping and twisting your conception of electronic dance music tonight at the PHOENIX LANDING in Central Square, with hometown kid FENS hold it down for Boston.
