TONIGHT the creators of Boston’s fine underground quarterly rag FREAK FLAG host their monthly First Friday residency at Moe’s Lounge (aka downstairs @ Radio). This month’s concert features SARALEE‘s understated, haunting lo-fi power pop, anchored by Sara’s cool, disaffected croon and propelled by Lee’s steady, shimmering backbeat. Sara’s sadly moved out of Boston, so catching this candy-coated act is a rare treat these days. They split the bill with HYENA, the Boston by-way-of-Maine freaky orchestral noise group led by singer Colby Nathan of Laughable Recordings and N.E. Patriots. If you like to bop around in a hazy daze of good vibes and cheap beer, then obviously this one’s a no-brainer. Be there.
