There’s gonna be a rhymeslaying ruckus in Central Square tonight! Leedz Edutainment, local purveyors of all things hip-hop and beat-oriented, is aligning the stars tonight so that we grateful Bostonians may dive into the Wu Tube with MASTA KILLA and his effortless West Coast style. Despite the rest of the Clan sitting this one out, expect to hear the powerful rhythms and smooth, buttery lyric couplets that helped Wu-Tang define gangsta hop in the 90s. Joining him as headliner this evening is RA THE RUGGED MAN romping around with silly but insightful rhymes and beats heavy enough to knock you back into last week. But of course that isn’t all — Leedz has lined up a whole slew of supporting artists that you really need to know — BIG KURT and PK-30 will split a set like a fresh Dutch Master, while the four-headed rap monstrosity MASSTAPEACE tromp through with beats bigger than a stegosaurus. Also along for the ride are the slick and soulful DEVIN FERREIRA, up-and-comer DERECK FREIRE, killer conglomerate OUTLAND CAMP, and the funkay brass-rap bombers CFP THE BAND. Sly Young will be your humble host this jam-packed evening, and DJ Slipwax (of Masstapeace!) will be spinning that shizz all night long, so if you have the urge to bump and grind and get a little freaky then get to the Middle East Downstairs as fast as you can because this one might sell out and you definitely want to be inside!
