TONIGHT one of the strangest figures to rise from this strange period of Internet rap comes to the Middle East Downstairs.  To say nothing else about RIFF RAFF‘s output in the last year (which has been almost too copious to keep up with) his most recent mixtape is the most polished of his career and that bodes well for this show.  On that tape, Hologram Panda, RIFF’s trademark non-sequiturs, sung hooks, and “rap game” puns take a relative backseat by melting seamlessly into the SLICK production of NYC legend Dame Grease (DMX, The LOX). Prediction: these new tracks will be SICK live.

RIFF is joined by a slew of New England MC’s including the rapid-fire weed rapper Chucklehead and Stu Cat, a constant figure in the Boston scene for the past four years.
