In case you missed CHEAP SEATS 1: CHEAP SEATS is an all ages variety showcase featuring musicians, performance poets, improvisers, dancers, and live visual artists all mashed up in the rapid fire production style of the crew at The Whitehaus Family Record. Staged at historic Durrell Theater, CHEAP SEATS is an interactive and immersive experience as performances move in 5-minute intervals from the stage to the floor to the balcony and keeps the audience on its collective toes, encouraging improvisational collaboration between live artists of all disciplines and bridging the gap between Boston’s thriving DIY scene and youth artists. CHEAP SEATS is committed to promoting good showmanship among people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds and a zero-tolerance policy for intolerance will be strictly enforced. No pyrotechnics, stark nudity or undomesticated animals. Hosted and orchestrated by local poet, performer, ‘DIY enthusiast’ and all around top shrymp Erich Haygun.
